TL;DR
- Nebius has 74 fully remote European roles on our board – the largest single source of open-to-remote work we track.
- All 376 of its adverts state that you must already be authorised to work in the country you apply from, and none offers sponsorship. No other employer we have profiled is that consistent about it.
- Its stated policy is one to two days working from home, so remote roles are the exception rather than the norm – around a third of the board.
- The Netherlands is the centre of gravity: 584 of 1,543 staff, and 42 of the remote roles.
Nebius is an Amsterdam-headquartered AI infrastructure company with 1,543 employees. It is not remote-first – its published policy is one to two days working from home, which is a hybrid arrangement by any reading – and it is nonetheless the largest single source of fully remote European roles on the Remote Work Europe jobs board.
That combination is exactly what the open-to-remote hub exists to document.
The single most important thing about applying to Nebius
You must already have the right to work in the country you are applying from.
This clause appears in every one of Nebius’s 376 live adverts, without exception:
“Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility as a condition of hire.”
Set that against zero sponsorship offers anywhere on the board, and a graduate programme that states outright it offers no visa or relocation support, and the position is unambiguous. Nebius expects you to arrive with your work authorisation already in hand.
We flag this first because it is the cheapest possible filter. If you do not have the right to work in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany or wherever the role sits, no amount of relevant experience will change the answer – and you will have found that out before writing a cover letter rather than after.
It is also, in its way, a courtesy. Most employers say nothing at all about sponsorship and leave you to guess. Twilio, for comparison, does not mention visas, sponsorship, work permits or immigration anywhere across its 147 adverts. Nebius tells you the rule up front, in every single advert.
Where can you work remotely for Nebius?
74 Nebius roles on our board are fully remote and European. They break down like this:
| Location | Remote roles |
|---|---|
| Europe-wide listings | 73 |
| Netherlands | 42 |
| United Kingdom | 25 |
| Germany | 13 |
| Czechia | 9 |
Roles frequently carry more than one eligible location, which is why these do not sum to 74.
The Netherlands weighting is not an accident. Nebius’s FY2025 Form 20-F sets out its workforce by country as at 31 December:
| 2024 | 2025 | |
|---|---|---|
| Netherlands | 474 | 584 |
| United States | 171 | 351 |
| Israel | 190 | 185 |
| Other | 360 | 423 |
| Total | 1,195 | 1,543 |
Two things are worth drawing out. The Netherlands really is the centre of gravity at 38% of staff. And 423 people – 27% – sit in an unattributed “Other”, which is the closest Nebius comes to quantifying its distributed workforce. That is roughly the same share as the proportion of adverts offering a remote option.
By function in 2025: product development 813, sales and administration 580, cost of sales 150.
Does Nebius publish its office locations?
Barely, and this is worth knowing if you are trying to work out where you would be expected to travel.
Nebius has no offices page. Its /locations, /offices, /contact and /imprint pages all return 404. The only page naming office cities is the graduate programme, which says “Multiple office locations, including: Paris, Amsterdam and Tel Aviv, as well as locations in Finland and the US” – and the word “including” makes that explicitly incomplete.
What can be stated with confidence: headquarters in Amsterdam, registered at Schiphol Boulevard 165, with three legal-entity addresses (Schiphol in the Netherlands, Tel Aviv in Israel, and Newburyport, Massachusetts in the US) per its privacy policy.
A wider set of cities – Berlin, Prague, Tallinn, London – appears in adverts on Nebius’s own careers domain. That is first-party information, but it is recruitment configuration rather than corporate disclosure, and we would not treat it as a published office list.
One correction worth making, because older write-ups repeat it: Nebius’s pre-2026 boilerplate described “R&D hubs across Europe, North America and Israel”. Its current boilerplate, as of the Q2 2026 results, ends simply “headquartered in Amsterdam”. If you see the older line quoted in a 2026 article, that article is working from stale material.
How do the remote roles separate?
Around a third of Nebius’s adverts offer a remote option, and the split runs hard by department rather than by seniority – the same pattern we found at Monzo, where Data is almost entirely remote-eligible and Product entirely is not.
For a company whose stated norm is one to two days at home, that is the useful insight: the remote roles are not a general policy applied loosely. They are specific functions where Nebius has decided the work does not need a desk, sitting inside a company that otherwise expects attendance.
The practical consequence is the same as everywhere else in this hub. Do not read Nebius’s careers page and conclude it is hybrid-only, and do not read a single remote advert and conclude it is remote-friendly throughout. Read the advert in front of you.
What the unattributed 27% tells you
Nebius names only three countries in its workforce table – the Netherlands, the United States and Israel – covering 1,120 of 1,543 staff. The other 423 are spread across everywhere else it employs, with no breakdown. So the honest answer to “how many people does Nebius employ in Germany, or the UK, or Czechia?” is that nobody outside the company knows.
The useful inference is narrow but real. The countries appearing on its board are places it already employs enough people to have solved payroll, contracts and compliance. That is the constraint governing this whole category: remote hiring follows the entity, not the enthusiasm.
It also sets expectations honestly. Take a remote role in Czechia and you join a company whose centre of gravity is Amsterdam and Tel Aviv, with a stated norm of one to two days at home for the people sitting there. Your colleagues will mostly be in offices.
What else to know before you apply to Nebius
Serbia appears as a hiring country on job boards and in an FY2024 filing tag, but in no prose in any Nebius filing. There is not enough there to claim an office, and we are not claiming one.
Check the location line and the body separately. As with every employer in this hub, applicant tracking system location tags and advert text can disagree, and the body text is the one that governs.
Scale is changing quickly. Headcount grew from 1,195 to 1,543 in a single year, with US headcount more than doubling. A company growing at that rate can change its working policy faster than its careers site is updated, which is a good reason to ask about remote expectations directly at first interview rather than relying on anything published – including this page.
Frequently asked questions
Does Nebius sponsor visas? No. Every advert requires existing authorisation to work in the country of application, and no advert on the board offers sponsorship or relocation support.
Is Nebius a remote-first company? No. Its stated policy is one to two days working from home, which is hybrid. It advertises a substantial number of fully remote roles as exceptions to that norm.
Where are most Nebius remote roles based? The Netherlands, with 42 of the 74, followed by the UK at 25 and Germany at 13. A large number of listings are also tagged Europe-wide.
How many people work at Nebius? 1,543 as at 31 December 2025, per its FY2025 Form 20-F – up from 1,195 a year earlier.
