EU AI Act enforcement timeline confirmed for hiring tools

High-risk AI systems used in hiring and workforce management must comply with the EU AI Act’s requirements by August 2026. Companies using AI-assisted candidate screening for EU-based roles are now preparing compliance documentation.

Several major remote-first employers have also updated their job descriptions to explicitly state AI screening tool usage, ahead of anticipated disclosure requirements.
